AIR QUALITY ASSESSMENTS
Air quality assessments are often required to support planning applications where developments are likely to have an impact on local air quality, including developments located within or adjacent to Air Quality Management Areas (AQMAs). These can either be simple screening assessments or detailed dispersion modelling, depending on the level of concern about air quality.
Most detailed assessments relate to road traffic emissions and combustion source emissions, so Miller Goodall works closely with transport planners and project engineers to obtain relevant data for our assessments. We will model existing and future air quality using advanced software to predict and help assess the impact of developments and provide advice where necessary, consulting closely with local authorities to ensure the assessment meets their criteria. We will then issue a report applicable for planning submission; this can be a standalone document or form part of an Environmental Impact Assessment.
Miller Goodall was appointed to complete an air quality assessment in relation to a commercial development within the Archer Road Retail Park, approximately 3 miles from the centre of Sheffield. Read more
Miller Goodall provided the air dispersion reports exactly as required and to our expectations. We were kept fully briefed of progress from initial appointment to the final report being produced. Other study works was required for the air dispersion modelling which Miller Goodall procured on our behalf. Excellent consultancy service and now a part of our approved list of consultants.
