Unam Ejaz
SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANT

Unam has a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Engineering from the University of Windsor, Canada. She has extensive experience in completing air quality, odour and dust assessments and is skilled in human health risk assessments and dust management plans. Unam has completed a multitude of projects in Canada and the UK for Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), planning applications, discharge of planning conditions, environmental permitting, and stack height assessments. She specialises in air quality dispersion modelling of road and industrial stacks, human health risk assessments, emission and source inventories, and dust assessments.

Unam is a member of the Institute of Air Quality Management and an associate member of the Institute of Environmental Sciences.

Vanessa Gaffey
Operations Manager

Vanessa has extensive knowledge and experience working in Accountancy, VAT and Payroll, having previously worked within an accountancy practice for 24 years. She has worked closely with SME’S at all stages and supported them, whilst maintaining strong client relationships which is something Miller Goodall strives to achieve. She has gained qualifications in AAT and the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals.

Vanessa looks forward to heading up the accounts department at Miller Goodall and joins us as Operations Manager.

Lesley Goodall
DIRECTOR

Lesley has a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Health, an MSc in Environmental Protection, and a Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control. After 14 years working within the Environmental Health teams of the London Borough of Haringey, Trafford MBC, West Lancashire DC and Salford City Council, she joined with Jo to set up Miller Goodall, where she specialises in air quality, including air quality dispersion modelling and pollution prevention control.

Lesley is a member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, the Institute of Acoustics and the Institute of Air Quality Management.

Melody Horan
SENIOR AIR QUALITY CONSULTANT

Melody has a first-class BSc (Hons) degree in Environmental Science and received distinction for her MSc in Environmental Science. As a senior air quality consultant at Miller Goodall, Melody carries out air quality and odour assessments as well as mitigation strategies for a wide variety of development types. Melody’s experience includes assessing road traffic and combustion sources, and odour and dust from construction and mineral activities.

Melody is a member of the Institute of Environmental Science and the Institute of Air Quality Management.

Jo Lacy
Operations Manager

Jo holds a BEng (Hons) and MSc (Hons) in Acoustics from the University of Salford. Jo has worked on automotive audio with Bang & Olufsen and Harman Automotive departments in Denmark and in event noise control across the UK for festivals including Glastonbury, Download and Leeds Festivals. Jo also developed an explosive noise prediction model for their MSc dissertation which was presented at UK Explosive Liaison Group 50th AGM and joined Miller Goodall with 5 years’ experience in acoustic consultancy.

Jo is a Member of the Institute of Acoustics and a registered sound insulation tester with the ANC.

Robert Nelms
GRADUATE NOISE CONSULTANT

Robert joined our Acoustic team after graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Sound Engineering and Production from the University of Salford in 2024. He has several years experience of working at music festivals including Latitude, Leeds Festival and Download, where he spent many hours monitoring sound levels and liaising with sound engineers. Robert’s current focus is on monitoring sound to inform our environmental noise assessments and he has already completed monitoring for a variety of projects , including residential, industrial and commercial developments.

Robert is looking forward to learning more skills in acoustic consultancy from our experienced consultants, including CadnaA noise modelling and sound insulation testing. He is working towards becoming a member of the Institute of Acoustics.

Phil Walton
SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANT

Phil has a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Geoscience and a certificate in noise monitoring. He has over six years’ experience in air quality, odour and dust assessments, and is also skilled in both noise measurement and lighting assessments. Phil has completed a multitude of projects across the UK for standalone technical reporting, EIA and permitting. He specialises in air quality dispersion modelling of road and combustion sources, air quality and dust monitoring, olfactometry odour surveying and reporting, and dust assessments.

Phil is a member of the Institute of Air Quality Management and an associate member of the Institute of Environmental Sciences.

William Wright
SENIOR ACOUSTIC CONSULTANT

Will has a BSc in Physics with Astrophysics and a Diploma in Applied Acoustics. He has worked as an Acoustic Consultant since 2013, working on a variety of project types including environmental noise and vibration, industrial and commercial noise impact, and sound insulation testing. Will has experience of noise modelling, he joined Miller Goodall in 2022 and is working towards becoming a registered sound insulation tester with the Association of Noise Consultants.

Will is a member of the Institute of Acoustics.
